The foolish build on the sand and when the storm comes it collapses completely.Luke 6.The wise builder comes TO HIM and hears His words and ACTS on them! This man "dug deep" and laid the foundation on the Rock - to withstand a flood without being shaken.1 Cor 3.Paul reminds us that the quality of our "works" will be tested by fire. Our works are are built on Him (and with Him) or they are burnt up. This is about the quality of our dreams. Psalm 40.He pulled me out of destruction, out of miry bog, and set my feet upon a ROCK, making my steps secure. A miry bog is a deep, slippery patch like slush, of muddy earth, difficult to escape from. Causes us to feel trapped and desperate. We talk about how many of us have been there at some point in our lives - but we don’t ever have to go there again - unless we choose to.
